Tea Cakes
I remember my mother always tea cakes for my older sister and I when she baked a cake. These warm and delicious tea cakes were like no one else could make one cake that quickly disappeared.
Most people remember someone in their family cake a good cup of tea, even if they do not know, they do something else. Biscuits certainly a great history behind them, with all the memories, delightful stories, and the rich and wonderful taste itbring.
Tea cakes are often characterized as a "golden memories of the good old days", which makes biscuits a legacy of many generations. People who are not really made a cake, tea, because it makes it a lot of fun to have tea pastries for the whole family.
Today we have so many different tea cake recipes - some with lemon, cinnamon, butter icing, some with butter instead of shortening and many flavored tea cake recipes made. But no matter how yourTea biscuits, I bet there's a story behind it.
I have a recipe for tea cakes that contain make my grandmother's.
1 ½ cups sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 / 3 cup buttermilk
Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in baking powder, baking soda and flour. Add alternately with buttermilk;beat well. Place in a bowl and work roll by and by as much flour too. Roll on floured board, cut with biscuit cutter; on greased and floured baking sheet and bake in a 375-degree oven until lightly browned. Yield: 2 dozen.

New York Style Cheesecake Recipe
New York cheesecake recipes are a combination of cream cheese and Italian cheese cake with ricotta cheese. Developed in the early 1920s, this particular kind of silky cream cheese in the vicinity of New York.

Classic New York Cheesecake
Crust:
Stark Coat 10-inch springForm pan with cooking spray
1 1 / 2 cup commercial biscuit crumbs
5 Tbsp. Butter
1 tsp. Honey
1 / 4 cup sugar
Mix the ingredients together with your hands until well blended and crumbs appear moist. Pour into the pan. With hands evenly on the floor and knocking down firmly disseminated.
Filling:
5 8-ounce bars cream cheese, at room temperature
2 Tbsp. Flour
1 Tbsp. Powdered sugar
11 / 2 cups sugar
grated rind of 1 lemon
1 / 2 tsp.orange liqueur
3/4 tsp. vanilla
2 egg yolks at room temperature
5 eggs at room temperature
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place first five ingredients in large mixing bowl and beat on high until they are completely blended. Add vanilla and 2 yolks, and beat again. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Pour into prepared pan. Batter will fill pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Top will be golden. Lower oven temperature to 200 degrees and bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until top browns, cake feels bouncy to the touch, and a toothpick tests clean. Cool to room temperature. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate. Bring to room temperature before serving.

The first recorded mention of cheesecake was when it was served to the athletes during the first Olympic Games held in 776 BC. Centuries later, cheesecake appeared in America. The recipes have been brought over by immigrants.

Lemon CupcakeRecipe
Ingredients:
3½ oz. softened butter
3½ oz. softened cream cheese
2 tsp. finely grated lemon rind
2/3-cup superfine sugar
2 eggs
½ cup all-purpose (plain) flour
1/3 cup self-raising flour
Instructions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 325F
2. Line a 12-cup muffin pan, with cupcake papers
3. Beat the butter, cheese, lemon rind, sugar and eggs until smooth and creamy
4. Sift the flours together
5. Add the flour gradually to the cheese mixture
6. Beat on a low speed, until just combined
7. Divide the mixture evenly between the 12 muffin tins
8. Bake for 25 minutes until firm to touch
9. Allow to cool for a few minutes and then transfer to a wire rack
Yields: 12 cupcakes
Frost with purchased lemon frosting. Enjoy
Basic Vanilla CupCake Recipe
Ingredients:
*5 oz. Butter - softened
*5 oz. superfine sugar
*6 oz. self-raising flour
* 3 eggs
* 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350F
2. Line a 12-cupcake pan, with cup cake papers
3. Break the eggs into a cup and beat lightly with a fork
4. Place all ingredients in a large bowl
5. Beat with an electric mixer for 2 minutes, until light and creamy
6. Divide the mixture into the muffin pan
7. Bake 18-20 minutes until risen and companies to touch
8. When coola few minutes and then transfer to a wire rack
9. After cooling in its entirety before applying the glaze
Makes: 12 cupcakes

1 / 3 c. Flour
1 / 4 tsp. Baking powder
1 / 4 tsp. Baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp. Shortening
2 tbsp. Peanut Butter
1 tsp. Sweet 'N Low
1 egg, beaten
Mix and stir all the ingredients to n (flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, shortening, peanut butter and Sweet 'Low). Add to undercutegg and mix well. Drop by large teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
DIABETIC FUDGE
1 14 1/2 oz. evaporated milk
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/4 c. oleo
Liquid Sweetner to equal 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1/4 c. nuts
Combine milk and cocoa in saucepan. Beat well. Add oleo, sweetner, salt. Bring to boil. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients except 1/4 cup graham crackers. Cool about 15 minutes. Divide mixture into 32 balls. Roll in remaining cracker crumbs and chill.
These recipes look delicious don't they? Believe me, they taste even better too. So by combining sensible eating with regular exercise you can control and even beat your type 2 diabetes for good. It just goes to show that with a little research you can still eat the delicious types of foods and snacks that you did before.
